THE LONG STORY

In collaboration with Soso Limited, we brought their vision to life and fabricated this interactive bench, a centerpiece within a multipurpose building in downtown San Diego. Crafted from plywood and resin, its undulating form was meticulously sanded to evoke a fluid, wave-like motion. Integrated with responsive lighting, the bench transforms user interaction into a dynamic visual experience - anyone can text a photo or description to a dedicated number, triggering a custom display of colors and light patterns that interpret the submission. To enhance this effect, we engineered seamless resin and wood beds that not only allow access to the internal components, but also amplify the stunning, uninterrupted flow of light throughout the piece.
