LAYERED LIGHT, SCULPTED FORM

This project features two site-specific installations that translate the surrounding neighborhood into light and form. Inside, a suspended light sculpture draws from San Diego’s rolling topography and sunset hues, using cascading polycarbonate panels to shift from a crisp, architectural presence by day to a warm glow at night. Outside, an 82’5” aluminum facade spans the building in a sweeping wave composition, offset from a rust-toned back panel to create depth, shadow, and contrast. Integrated lighting animates the facade after dark, extending the project’s sense of movement into the North Park streetscape.
